Electron Microscopy Sciences PCRSeal™ PCRSeal Microplate Sealing Film, PRC, qPCR, -70°C to 100°C
Pre-cut adhesive films for micropalte sealing eliminate well-to-well contamination, microbial and viral contamination, evaporation (excluding breathable membranes) and sample spillage. The pre-cut adhesive films fit all microplates and are sterilized by gamma irradiation and free of cytotoxins. Two scored end-tabs make film positioning and removal hassle-free. Pierceable sealing films facilitate easy removal of samples with a pipet tip. PCRSeal™ has a high optical quality, minimal autofluorescence and resists DMSO and organic solvents. It is RNase and DNase free.

A 36 µm soft non-permeable aluminum foil sealing film with 28 µm layer of strong medical-grade acrylic adhesive, SilverSeal™ sealing films eliminate the need for heat-sealing devices or mats during thermal cycling. Each sealing film measures 82.6 x 146.1 mm and offers sufficient sealing area for all PCR plates. Length between the perforations with end tabs removed is 125.4 mm. Compared to other aluminum foils, SilverSeal™ has less tendency to roll back or itself when removing the backing paper and conforms well to the plate during application. easily pierceable with single or multichannel pipettors and robotic probes heat and cold resistant, recommended for temperatures from -80 °C to +120 °C certified DNase-, RNase-, and nucleic-acid-free excellent barrier properties, virtually no sample evaporation or drying. These improved films for classic thermal cycling applications consist of a 50 mum polyester film with a 41 mum layer of acrylic adhesive. Compared to the original ThermalSeal(R) films ThermalSeal(R) 2 films offer better adhesion reduced evaporation longer end tabs for easier handling and less tendency to tear during removal from the plate. Each sealing film measures 79.4 x 139.7 mm and offers sufficient sealing area for all PCR plates. Length between the perforations with end tabs removed is 125.1 mm. ThermalSeal 2 sealing films are not pierceable.
